Spicing things up with Jerk Seasonings/Spices

Jerk seasoning is as popular in the islands as rum and reggae. It flavors with an intense, spicy combination of scallions, onions, thyme, Jamaican Pimento, and fiery scotch bonnet peppers that flavors the chicken or meat for a burst of flavor!

Jamaican Style Boneless Rib Roast

A tender juicy cut of prime rib eye encrusted with ground black pepper and Jamaican spices baked to release an abundance of flavors. Served with shallots in a red wine sauce. 

Jerk Pork Roast

Another signature dish from Stir It Up, this pork is marinated in a delightful blend of traditional Jamaican herbs and spices. Usually served with sweet potatoes and a salad. 

Jamaican Beef Stew

Cubed and sautéed well in a specially seasoned sauce with vegetables. Served over a bed of rice ’n peas with salad. 

Spicy Meatballs

Ground beef seasoned with special Jamaican spices, and served with vegetables in a delectable sauce. Side dishes of rice, beans, and a mixed salad make a great addition to this meal. 

Oxtail Stew

This traditional choice is very satisfying, cooked slowly with Jamaican spices, seasoned generously with herbs and served in a thick meaty sauce with butter beans. 

Jamaican Curried Shrimp/Chicken

Tiger shrimp, cleaned and deveined, or chicken steamed in a zesty Jamaican curry with tender vegetables. The dish can be prepared either hot, spicy or mild - the choice is yours. Mouth watering and tantalizing. 

Fricasseed Chicken

Chicken stewed down in a spicy gravy and vegetables, consisting of chocho (Jamaican squash), carrots and potatoes. Most popular way of cooking chicken in Jamaica and usually served with rice, beans and plantains. 

Jerked Barbecued Chicken

Baked in the oven with jerk seasonings and barbecued sauce. Rice and vermicelli is a nice accompaniment to this dish. 

Pineapple Chicken

This delicious twist from hot and spicy to sweet and fruity takes your taste buds on a light cruise to the Caribbean Islands. Choices of chicken breast or quarters are combined with chunks of pineapple as well as red and green peppers to create a sauce like no other - pungent, yet sweet. A fruit lover’s dream come true. 

Stew Peas

Do not be fooled by the name... this is no vegetarian dish. The real Jamaican stew peas does contain red kidney beans (or peas, as the Jamaicans call them), but the real main ingredients of this tantalizing entree is stewed beef and pig’s tail. When cooked perfectly, the beef in this dish is amazingly tender and flavored with pork from the pig’s tail. This is as authentic as it gets. This dish is usually served with white rice to absorb all the flavors in the gravy and the plantains to add that needed sweet component to the meal. Absolutely delicious! 

Curry Goat (spicy or mild)

Curry goat is of one of Jamaica’s most popular dishes, traditionally prepared on special occasions. The authentic curry goat is, of course, made with goat meat using only the best Jamaican curry blended with a variety of unique Jamaican spices, cooked with potatoes and made spicy with scotch bonnet peppers to create this mouth watering Jamaican tradition. This dish will surely make your taste buds jump for joy! 

Leg of Lamb with Callaloo or Spinach and Feta Cheese

Butterflied leg of lamb, filled with spinach and feta cheese and slivered garlic and rosemary. Served with a salad of wild greens vinaigrette and sour cream mashed potatoes. An elegant dish and a favorite on the Islands, especially for the holidays!

Seashore Salmon

A large succulent Alaskan salmon steak prepared with the most delicate care. Marinated in spices with an orange and herb marinade, and then grilled to perfection. 

Spicy Creole Shrimp

How lucky can you be! A hearty helping of peeled and deveined shrimp combined with fresh green and red peppers, onions, basil and chives that are tossed in a rich blend of spices and herbs. 

Fish Carnival

Scrod or tilapia are great in this meal. Lightly fried and cooked in tomatoes, onions, parsley and Jamaica’s own scotch bonnet peppers. Served in a delicious sauce. 

Baked Stuffed Sole

Stuffed with a combination of shrimp and crab, and flavored with Jamaican seasonings. Baked and served with a light white sauce. Excellent with rice and vermicelli or sweet potato casserole. 

Tossed Salad 

A medley of tossed fresh garden vegetables, topped with a generous portion of a light citrus vinaigrette.

The main ingredient is callaloo (similar to spinach), steamed with okra, kale and Jamaican squash (chocho), flavored with ham hock or beef, and spiced with our special seasonings.

Plantains

A staple of the Caribbean cuisine, these bunch fruits of the banana tree come in many varieties, from tiny finger bananas (figis) to large, black-skinned plantains. Usually regarded as a vegetable, the larger plantains are ripened and sweet, lightly fried to a golden brown. A traditional accompaniment to meats.
